03 Jun Free Felt Canary Pattern for Canary Craftivists
Do you enjoy sewing? Are you worried about climate change, are not already part of a climate campaign group or action and are a bit nervous of taking part in large or loud activist groups? Come join us!:) We have a free felt canary pattern and YouTube Tutorial video now as part of our Canary Craftivists climate project thanks to the lovely Emma Brassfield.
You can channel your emotions into a beautiful small handmade 3D felted canary to gift to your MP in the first week in September with a handwritten letter (our template will be with you in August) to show you’re worried about global warming and encourage them to lobby the Prime Minister to be a bold host of world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (known as COP26) in Glasgow this November where they are meeting to address global warming. All the information is here and if you have any questions not answered in our FAQ page please do get in touch 🙂
Based in Surrey and founder of Studio 7t7 items, Emma has been involved in a few of our projects in the past and is a lovely crafter. She kindly created this free pattern and video tutorial, has made her canary for her MP to give to them in September and is currently planning a local ‘flock’ gathering in her hometown near a local, loved and recognisable landmark to gain local media attention this summer to encourage the UK Government to be bold leaders of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) this year happening in Glasgow.
