Do you enjoy crochet? Are you concerned about climate change and aren’t already part of a climate campaign group or action? Come join us in our climate ‘gentle protest’: Canary Craftivists. You can channel your emotions into a beautiful handmade small crochetted canary to gift to your MP to show you’re worried about global warming and encourage them to lobby the Prime Minister to be a bold host of world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (known as COP26) in Glasgow this November where they are meeting to address global warming. All the information is here and if you have any questions not answered in our FAQ page please do get in touch 🙂

The talented DippyCatCrochet has kindly created this free canary crochet pattern for you to use:

Come join us this Summer in this unique, quiet and gentle Craftivism climate project:

We are asking people to make one canary for their Member of Parliament (MP) to post to them with a handwritten letter (using our template) in the first week of September. If you want to make more than one canary then you could send them to local powerholders or be inspired and hang them as street art as long as they are not causing any inconvenience.
