02 Nov EXHIBITION: Join us at “Riot Here, Riot Now” a group show at W3 Gallery
Curated by artists Lucy Sparrow and Carrie Reichardt for the W3 gallery, a community gallery which celebrates and supports artists however diverse and is a brilliant resource of inspiration for Acton and the surrounding areas.
31st October to 1st December. W3 Gallery (185 High Street, Acton, London, W3 9DJ).
Come and see (or even buy!) artwork by political artists including our own Sarah Corbett & have a little look in the affordable shop for other products by these artists (including our A Little Book of Craftivism & other products)
In the words of Lucy:
“Welcome to the future, a dystopian land of bullshit soup and glass grenades, won’t you come on in?
Anarchy reigns supreme in the capital long after pulling the ejector seat on the establishment you can expect from Riot Here, Riot Now to be transported to a colourful and politically charged show all using craft mediums such as ceramics, sewing and metalwork.
Much inspired by the London riots many of the pieces poke holes and question the current political landscape of the country as it is today and how we got here in the first place, are we all just mad in England?”
