It’s that time of year when I’ve spent my Christmas money (this year mostly on donating to our Little Book of Craftivism & replacing worn out tights & socks!), ate too much chocolate so I don’t want to go dancing but I’m missing my friends and want to hang out with them soon. Plus thinking about 2013 looming always makes me think about what I can do next year to feel personally fulfilled and make a positive difference in the world. My sis felt the same & said that the #imapiece Craftivist Jigsaw project is a great excuse/hook to do all of the above & get her non-crafty friends crafting! 🙂 I’m excited to see friends and new Craftivists at our London monthly Stitch-In in January but if you can’t get down to that or other Stitch-Ins happening across the UK (more info on our Events Page) then why not do what Hilary from CraftBlog UK & others have done and set up your own for you and your mates? It might sound tiring but it’s really easy we promise & you’d really be helping Save the Children’s Race Against Hunger campaign because we need as many Craftivist Jigsaw pieces as possible by 28th February please. All the info you need can be downloaded on the Craftivist Jigsaw website plus there are examples of what other people have made there and on our Flickr set and/or you can buy a Jigsaw kit at Folksy here for £3 (bargain!;p). AND if you still don’t believe how easy it is check out Hilary’s video here for tips and encouragement:
Finally, for those who like to do everything bigger (we all know one!;p) you could engage even more craftsters by hijacking a exciting event (with permission of course!) like Deadly Knitshade from Stitch London did here with me hehee:
