We are encouraging you to take up craftivism as a New Year’s Resolution (if you haven’t already!) in 2012 and take on our Don’t Blow It project.
If you are in London please come to our workshop run by our Founder Sarah Corbett you will learn the classic skill of embroidery whilst also learning how to influence change-makers in the UK. You will create a handkerchief for the influencial person of your choice (this might be a politican, banker, teacher, journalist, judge or someone else) and you will recieve support on what to write on your handkerchief and how to get in touch with and influence that person.
Craftivist Sarah Corbett will also tell you more about the history of craftivism and the methods you can use.
All materials are provided including handkerchiefs, thread, needles, pens, instructions and a kit to put them in to take home if you don’t finish your handkerchief. Plus additional Craftivist Collective products are available for purchase in the shop after class.
Level: Beginner
Teacher: Sarah Corbett
Course Length: 2 hours
Fee £15 (including all resources)

At the Garnethill Women’s Institute in Glasgow our first undetaking was the Don’t Blow It Campaign. Still chivying people to finish and post, in fact I finished mine but didn’t ever post it…. will do that NOW and also have reminded our fellow ladies to keep at it – no time frame etc.
We really love the sentiment behind the craftivists and will keep on supporting from Glasgow
