Come and join us to celebrate International Womens Day 2010, fundraise for women in Haiti, and support other craftivists this Saturday 6th March 7pm -1am

All are welcome to join the Craftivist Collective at an event run by Art of the Dog Saturday 6th March 2010 7pm – 1am at the beautiful Old Finsbury Town Hall, Rosebery Avenue, EC1 (near Angel tube, bus 19, 341, 38) to celebrate International Womens Day and raise some funds for woman in Haiti and Asylum seekers in Britain through music, art, craftivism and fun! :)

£6 before 8pm £8 after.

The night will include exciting live music; caribbean dinner and art auction starring:
Toy Toy – barbed electro
Madam – dark melodic
Penny Metal – balkan delights
Lulu and the Lampshades- percussive pop
cut a shine – rip roaring barn dance
kate tempest – rapping prophetic rhymes……….wow what a line up i cant wait.

cakes craftism and poetry and more

This event is a great excuse for the Craftivist Collective to have a social event together which doesn’t invovle us doing any work, us getting to know each other, seeing what other craftivists are doing, learning from them and supporting them.

If you want to help with the event email craftivist-collective@hotmail.com and we can help set up about 4pm after the Million Women Rise march of course!

Also, please bring something for this event’s shrine: photos, images, objects, words, anything that represents women you admire.

Finally if you have any crafty things you are happy to donate please bring them to the event for people to make things with e.g. paper, card, pens, fabric, thread, glitter, anything.
